Rob Performing Faint

Robert Gregory Bourdon (born January 20, 1979) is an American musician, best known as the drummer and a founding member of American rock band Linkin Park alongside lead guitarist Brad Delson and current frontman Mike Shinoda. He is the only non vocalist of the band and grew up in California. He met his fellow Linkin Park founders in high school and they eventually recruited bassist Phoenix, DJ Mr Hahn and Mark Wakefield as lead vocalist. The band was initially known as Xero and when they started struggling, all save Hahn left. They spent a considerable time searching for a lead singer, who would be Chester Bennington eventually. The band changed their name to Linkin Park, made their hit debut album Hybrid Theory and were rejoined by Phoenix in late 2000. Meteora, The band's 2nd album was also a very large hit. Their 4th album, A Thousand Suns, had new elements of music for the band and was more successful than their 3rd, Minutes to midnight, as was the 5th and 6th albums Living Things and The Hunting Party. Rob, Brad, Phoenix And Mike did less on their 7th album, One More Light, which alongside the album getting made as a pop album and other things was a large criticism of the album. Rob has rarely appeared in public eye as of post tribute concert to Chester in October 2017, as the famous singer hung himself 3 months prior.
