Epicenter is an annual music festival in Southern California presented by Right Arm Entertainment (creators of Ohio's Rock on the Range festival) and features acts on multiple stages. This show originated back in August of 2009.

The announcement caused some drama as Mark Hoppus was showing extreme excitement for the concert. Fans assumed that he was hyping up the album, Neighborhoods which was still being recorded. This announcement disappointed a few but one fan took it too far and caused some issues with radio host, Stryker.
