Bad Story, Happy Ending is the third full-length and first major label studio album by Israeli punk band Useless ID, released on June 12, 2001. It is the band's first album on the Kung Fu label.
The album was produced by The Ataris singer/gutiarist Kris Roe after the band was signed to Kung Fu Records following their split album with The Ataris, entitled Let it Burn in 2000. The album was recorded at Orange Whip Studios in Santa Barbara, California in 2001 with Roe contributing additional guitars and sound effects, and The Ataris cellist Angus Cooke contributing cello.
It was the band's first worldwide successful album, as it was the first album to be released in the US bringing the band their worldwide recognition. The band members have also stated that it's the album that showcases their current musical style, as its more pop punk then the previously hardcore influenced albums.
